The sun was setting and the air was crisp as Jeffery walked down the beach to collect the cans he had left for collection the previous day. He had just finished when he saw a figure walking down the path towards him. It was a woman, and she was strikingly beautiful. Jeffrey couldn’t help but admire her as she came closer, until she spoke.
“Hello, Jeffrey. I’m glad I found you.”
Jeffrey was confused and scared, but the woman didn’t seem to care.
“You see, Jeffrey, I’m a goddess.”
The words hit Jeffrey like a ton of bricks. He didn’t know what to say or do, as the goddess continued to talk.
“I’m here to take you away to heaven, Jeffrey. There’s nothing here for you anymore. You’ve done all you can here on earth, and now it’s time for you to move on.”
The goddess then took Jeffrey’s hand and led him down the beach towards the ocean. As they walked, Jeffrey could see the bodies of 10,000 people lying on the sand. He didn’t know how he was going to make it through this day, let alone the rest of his life.
The goddess then cast a spell over Jeffrey that made it so he couldn’t see or hear anything else. Only the sound of the waves and his own breathing mattered. They walked for hours, until they reached the edge of a cliff. There, the goddess revealed her true form- a giant, monstrous being with razor sharp teeth.
She then threw Jeffrey off the cliff, and he plummeted into the ocean below. As he hit the water, he thought he heard the goddess laugh.
